Koh Lanta – Ba Kantiang Beach

If you continue south from Klong Nin, Koh Lanta, you’ll drive through some great scenery and because the road becomes quite hilly, you get some fantastic seaviews along the way. Eventually around 8km later you’ll descend into Ba Kantiang bay – rated by some to be the best beach on Koh Lanta. It has actually won some Trip Advisor awards so people aren’t exaggerating!

 

Not as long as other Koh Lanta beaches (about 1km long), Ba Kantiang is tucked into a steep backdrop of lush tropical rainforest.

 

Budget bungalows close to the beach, or 5 star luxury villas – you can find all kinds of accommodation in Koh Lanta’s Ba Kantiang Bay. There are some beachfront eateries and drinkeries, but also some that are dug high into the cliffs and hills, giving some of them truly staggering views – possibly some of the best on Koh Lanta.

 

This one of the most basic bays on Koh Lanta, with just one minimart, a few tour shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. There are 4 dive schools here as well.

 

ACCOMMODATION

Most accommodation here is either hillside with stunning Koh Lanta sea views, or on the beach. There are simple family run bungalows, private villas and Koh Lanta’s only 5 star resort.

 

 

FOOD & DRINK
There are 4 beachfront restaurants, plus a few seaview ones. On the roadside you’ll find a few more restaurants plus some basic cheap Thai food stalls.
